FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication technologies and, in particular, to a reconfigurable optical input/output multiplexer. Said technical result is achieved by the fact that the reconfigurable optical input/output multiplexer includes: optical fibres, X selective switches of the first wavelength and Y wavelength input/output modules. X selective switches of the first wavelength correspond to W directions – the first and the second, X and W are integers greater than 1, first direction corresponds to P selective switches of the first wavelength from number X of selective switches of the first wavelength, where P is an integer greater than 1, second direction corresponds to Q selective switches of the first wavelength from among X selective switches of the first wavelength, where P + Q is less than or equal to X; First wavelength input/output module is connected to A of P first wavelength switches using optical fibres and connected to B of Q first wavelength switches using optical fibres, where the first wavelength input/output unit is one of the Y wavelength input/output units, A is a positive integer less than P, and B is a positive integer less than or equal to Q.
EFFECT: fewer ports of the first wavelength input/output module and improved performance of the wavelength input/output module.
