FIELD: optics; information technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of optical communication. Device for linking a wavelength-free path and routes, capable of issuing arbitrary wavelengths and capable of issuing them to arbitrary routes, is proposed. Multiplexer (11) with the addition/output function comprises communication unit (101) that communicates via an optical signal with at least one client device and at least one network, and control unit (102), which indicates the destination of the transmission of the optical signal in accordance with the attribute of the received optical signal to communication unit (101). Control unit (102) indicates the amount of attenuation of the optical signal to communication unit (101) for each connected device. When the connected device is changed, control unit (102) outputs to communication unit (101) a command to change the attenuation value. Communication unit (101) attenuates the optical signal with the amount of attenuation indicated by control unit (102) and transmits the attenuated optical signal to the transmission destination.
EFFECT: technical result is the ability to arbitrarily change the device connected to the multiplexer with the add-output function.
