FIELD: performing operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing fire-resistant silica filament with fluoroplastic impregnation, which can be used in production of parts for radio engineering purposes, antenna domes, as well as in the rocket and space industry and other fields. Silica thread is placed in a mandrel, from which the thread is then unwound at a constant speed of 25-35 cm per minute at each stage of production. Further, the thread is preheated in a tunnel-type furnace at temperature of 180 °C, after which it is drawn along guide rollers into a closed bath filled with fluoroplastic suspension. At the bath outlet, the thread passes through the groove cavity, where excess fluoroplastic suspension is cut off, after which the thread enters the curing furnace, where at temperature of 280 °C it is heat treated. After the thread comes out of the furnace, it is stabilized and wound on the bushing.
EFFECT: increased mechanical strength during tensile tests and reduced friction coefficient.
