FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for producing laser diode matrices (LDM). Method of checking operability of LDM consists in the fact that technological training of LDM is carried out, which consists in the fact that LDM is installed by soldering on a heat exchanger, leakage current is checked, the LDM with the heat exchanger is installed on the test bench, the resistance thermal converter is fixed on the heat exchanger, on which the operating temperature is set, supplying electric power to the LDM in accordance with the setting values, such as the pumping current pulse repetition frequency, the pumping current pulse duration and the pumping current pulse amplitude, while providing the number of pulses of at least 2×107 at pumping current pulse amplitude of 100÷120 A, pumping current pulse repetition frequency of not less than 100 Hz, before training, at the end of training, monitoring the average radiation pulse power, radiation wavelength, radiation spectrum envelope width, voltage drop at LDM at rated pumping current, and every two hours after the beginning, the average power of the radiation pulse is monitored; if the monitored parameters deviate from the required values, the LDM is considered to be inappropriate.
EFFECT: stabilization of energy characteristics of LDM.
