SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to paediatric dentistry, and can be used when choosing a therapeutic approach. Anamnesis and dental examination are collected, criteria characterizing the severity of damage to hard tissues of teeth and the general condition of the oral cavity are determined with assignment of points. When collecting patient’s complaints and examining the oral cavity, the state of the oral cavity is assessed by nine criteria in points: type of hypoplasia, type of defect, complaints of aesthetics, complaints of tooth decay, reaction to temperature stimulus, assessment of caries intensity, assessment of hygiene level according to simplified index of oral hygiene OHI-S, presence of dentoalveolar system disorders, presence of oral type of breathing, criteria are marked in a spreadsheet on the basis of the program of Microsoft Excel, which automatically according to the sum of points, typed by all criteria gives to the doctor an estimation of severity of dental enamel hypoplasia and in accordance with it a therapeutic approach.

EFFECT: invention, by assessing the severity of dental enamel hypoplasia, enables to form an integrated approach and an adequate therapeutic approach.
