FIELD: medicine; dentistry.
SUBSTANCE: claimed technical solution relates to the field of medicine, namely to dentistry; it can be used for planning of the treatment of patients with tooth discoloration and its further implementation. A method for planning of the treatment of patients with tooth discoloration is proposed, consisting in collection of anamnesis, dental examination, identification of a value of DMF index, a level of hygiene, dental plaque caries, and assessment of a condition of the tooth surface. At the same time, patient data is obtained from an electronic medical record of the patient, patient complaints and anamnesis of the disease are entered into the medical record, which includes anamnesis of life, indices for determination of a condition of teeth, and identification of possible causes of tooth discoloration. In this case, anamnesis of life is information about patient’s bad habits, his/her diet, previous illnesses, epidemiological history, work history, allergic history, prolonged use of medications over the past 2 years, and chronic diseases. Indices for determination of the condition of teeth are calculated, which include OHI-S hygiene index, GI gingival index, SBI sulcus bleeding index, periodontal index, DMF index, PHP oral hygiene efficiency index, an index of intensity of dental hyperesthesia, and an index of prevalence of dental hyperesthesia, while identifying possible causes of tooth discoloration. For this purpose, examination is performed, and information is detected about carious tooth damage, traumatic tooth damage, endodontic treatment, and non-carious tooth damage in the form of fluorosis, hypoplasia, imperfect amelogenesis, tetracycline tooth staining, imperfect dentinogenesis, or a wedge-shaped defect. After identification of all necessary information, the patient is given preliminary recommendations before treatment in an automated mode, which include measures necessary to start treatment and information about indications for bleaching. After following these recommendations, the patient can start treatment, tactics of which is also given to an attending physician in an automated mode.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in a speed of diagnostics, as well as improvement in the quality of treatment of patients with tooth discoloration.
