FIELD: simulators for teaching or training purposes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to simulators for training drivers of tracked vehicles. Simulator of initial training of caterpillar machine operator comprises gearshift lever and locking mechanism with trigger, which are located on floor of simulator cabin. Additionally, the simulator includes a gearshift lever loading mechanism, connected to the manual engagement stopper electromagnet activation sensor, output of the latter is connected via relay with normally closed contacts to load mechanism stopper electromagnet turn-on delay relay, roller stop electromagnet and stop. Sensor for switching off the electromagnet of the stopper of the roller stop of the loading mechanism has feedback with the relay with normally closed contacts. Lower end of gearshift lever through ball head has mechanical connection with tube of loading mechanism, which by its pressing can act on adjustable roller stop.

EFFECT: improving the quality of initial training of tracked vehicle operators by simulating the actual dynamics of the trainee's work and the load on the gear shift lever depending on the engine operating mode and terrain, which ensures increased accuracy of the simulation.
