FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Tripartite IOL haptic elements are simulated, namely, connection of haptic elements of tripartite IOL with suture material. Using a bipolar coagulator, a haptic element of the tripartite IOL is heated to a melting point. Then the suture is heated and laid by attaching the IOL to the fused haptic. Suture and haptic are squeezed together by forceps with branches, as a result of which a single flange connection is formed, and the second haptic element is simulated in the same way. In a particular case, the melting point of the haptic element of the tripartite IOL is 120 °C.
EFFECT: method enables simplifying the process of implantation, fixation, centring of the tripartite IOL, reducing the number of surgical injuries in treating cataracts.
