FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmosurgery, and can be used for fixation of three-part intraocular lens (IOL) to sclera. For this purpose scleral pockets are formed. Haptic elements of the IOL are delivered with a needle intrasclera from the inside to the outside. IOL is centred and thickenings are formed on the ends of the haptic elements with a thermocautery. Then each bulge at the end of the haptic element of the IOL is successively wrapped three times with suture 8:0-10:0 and the suture is tightened with an interrupted suture. Thereafter, the formed structures are immersed in scleral pockets.
EFFECT: invention provides higher efficiency of surgical intervention due to entanglement of thickenings with filament, which allows reliable fixation of haptic element with flange at the end in scleral pocket, providing correct position of IOL in postoperative period, preventing dislocation of lens and reducing risk of necessity of repeated operation.
