FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used in production of banknotes and security documents. Radiation-curable protective varnish contains a compound which is curable using agents based on cations or radicals to obtain a polyepoxide or polyacrylate, an antifungal agent containing iodopropynyl butyl carbamate (IPBC), and at least one metal selected from silver, copper, zinc and mixtures thereof. Said metal is in the zero oxidation state and is present in the form of particles on the substrate, wherein the metal in the zero oxidation state and IPBC are used in the metal/IPBC weight ratio in range of 0.0007 to 0.01. Invention also discloses an article, a method of making it, a security document, a method of making a security document and versions of using lacquer.
EFFECT: group of inventions makes it possible to increase durability of articles coated with protective lacquer, due to increased resistance to contamination and antimicrobial properties.
