FIELD: weapons.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to weapons, in particular to small arms with a butt. Butt damper comprises a damping correcting device. Damping correcting device is made with the possibility of dividing the butt into two parts, wherein the rear part of the butt is two thirds of the total size, and the front part is one third of the total size of the butt. Damping correcting device is made with possibility of being compressed under action of recoil force and consists of two parallel arranged tubular telescopic joints with limited working stroke and damping springs made with possibility of connection of separated parts of butt located at angle of 6° relative to the line of the barrel axis, with a slope allowing, when the front part of the butt is compressed, to move backwards and upwards relative to the rear part of the butt.
EFFECT: reduced effect of recoil on the shooter, as well as adjustment of the position of the weapon at the end of recoil cancellation relative to the initial position.
