FIELD: plant growing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to plant growing and can be used for growing seedlings of various plants, for example, in greenhouses, greenhouses and planting in open ground. Method of making a biocontainer for growing plants involves initial mixing of components, which are milled buckwheat husks, potato or corn starch, glycerine, citric acid and phosphogypsum, repeated mixing with addition of water till mixture moisture content is 55-60%, formation of container in mould, extraction of container, and then drying. Before forming the container in the mould, the mixture is heated to temperature of 90-95 °C with subsequent cooling to room temperature.
EFFECT: production of a biocontainer capable for a long time to retain moisture used by plants planted in it.
