FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to surface treatment of parts made of aluminium or aluminium alloy. Method of processing the surface of a part made of aluminium or aluminium alloy includes at least an anodizing step and a step of compacting the anode layer formed on said part as a result of the anodizing step. Compaction is performed in an aqueous solution of deionised water, having a specific resistance equal to or greater than 0.01 MOhm, preferably equal to or greater than 0.1 MOhm, more preferably equal to or greater than 10 MOhm, and from 1 to 500 g/l of alkali metal or alkali-earth metal silicate, at temperature between 60 °C and 100 °C.
EFFECT: improved properties of resistance of parts made of aluminium or aluminium alloys to biocorrosion.
