FIELD: ecology.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed inventions relate to ecology and environmental protection with respect to purification of waste water from the pulp and paper industry. Layer of clarified water of sludge, sludge-lignin and ash-sludge fields is processed. When the critical height of layer reaches 90% of the maximum value, excess water is taken in an amount of up to 50% of the mass by the intake device. Intake device is made in the form of a metal hollow cylinder, the vertical surface of which is equipped with a system of holes for water passage and is covered from outside with a filter cloth. Cylinder is installed on the surface of the sludge layer in the water layer with its complete set of upper and lower marks of the clarified layer and a pipe for supplying clarified water to the thermal power plant into the boiler. Water is boiled in the boiler, and the formed steam is supplied to the chimney or cooling tower.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of controlling the level of the clarified layer of sludge, sludge-lignin and ash-sludge fields, which prevents overfilling of the system in case of torrential rains, melting of ice and snow.
