FIELD: metallurgy; performing operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to methods of producing hardened cylindrical billets from medium-entropy alloys of austenitic class. Method of producing cylindrical workpieces from medium-entropy alloy Fe49.5Mn30Co10Cr10C0.5 includes quenching of workpieces by heating to 1,050 °C, holding for 2 hours with cooling in water, cold plastic deformation by radial forging to degree of deformation of 85-90% at room temperature and subsequent heat treatment with cooling in air. Heat treatment after deformation of workpieces is carried out by annealing at 600 °C and holding for 10 minutes.
EFFECT: disclosed is a method of producing hardened cylindrical workpieces from medium-entropy alloys of austenitic class.
