FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymer chemistry, specifically to modifying bitumen with polymer additives, and can be used in road construction, in production of roofing (impregnating and coating) and waterproofing materials based on bitumen, in construction of buildings and structures, etc. Disclosed is a granular bitumen compound containing butadiene-styrene thermoplastic elastomer 45-70 wt.%, polyethylene 20-45 wt.%, atactic polypropylene 0-10 wt.% and industrial oil 0-10 wt.%. Compound is produced in the form of granules with bulk density of not less than 400 kg/m3.
EFFECT: obtained modifier, introduced into the bitumen composition, provides its technological – dynamic viscosity at 135 °C less than 3 Pa⋅s, and operational properties – resistance to aging, shear stability, heat resistance.
