FIELD: polymer compositions.

SUBSTANCE: polymer-bitumen composition and method of production thereof are intended for use in construction and repair of asphalt concrete surfaces of roads, airfields and bridges. The bitumen-polymer composition is comprised of petroleum road bitumen, butadiene-styrene thermoplastic elastomer. The composition additionally comprises a thermoplastic - low density polyethylene (LDPE) and a structuring suspension wherein diesel fuel nanomodified with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (CNT) with a diameter of 15 to 40 nm are used as a structuring suspension, at the following ratio of components, % wt.: butadiene-styrene thermoplastic elastomer 1 to 3; low density polyethylene 1 to 3; diesel fuel 0.02 to 0.6; carbon nanotubes 0.0002 to 0.004; petroleum road bitumen is the rest. The CNTs are evenly distributed in the diesel fuel at room temperature using the power of ultrasonic vibrations in the acoustic cavitation mode at resonant frequencies in the range of 19.8 to 24.2 kHz for 3 minutes. The bitumen preheated to a temperature of 90 to 100°C is placed in a heated vertical mixer equipped with blade stirrers in parallel with the described process. The butadiene-styrene thermoplastic elastomer and the thermoplastic LDPE are introduced, the mixture is heated to 150 to 160°C and mixed for 30 to 40 minutes in a turbulent mode at a value of the Reynolds circulation number Rec over 1000 at a stirrer rotation rate of 800, 450 and 90 rpm for mixers with a volume of 3, 5 and 6000 liters, respectively. The CNT structuring suspension in diesel fuel is then added and the components are further mixed for 5 to 15 minutes at the same temperature.

EFFECT: achieved technical result is increased strength of the coating, resistance of the coating to delamination and simplified method of manufacture.
