SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method, a device and a data medium for switching BWP. Method of switching part of frequency band (BWP) includes determination (S12) of target BWP, to which it is necessary to switch, after transition of terminal from "connected" state to "inactive" state. Terminal is configured with an initial BWP and a separate BWP for transmitting "small data" (BWP SDT). After determining that there is a "small data" packet to be transmitted, "small data" (SDT) is transmitted to the target BWP.

EFFECT: reducing the load level of the initial BWP by performing "small data" transmission (SDT) in a separate BWP SDT.
