FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to investigation of friction processes and determination of coefficient of rolling stock wheel adhesion to rail. According to the railway wheel-to-rail adhesion coefficient determining method at various degrees of slippage, the bogie wheel pairs are rolling, bogie speed is determined, force of normal load on rails from bogie wheel pairs is measured, value of power circulation arising from partial slippage of one of wheel pairs is registered. During rolling of kinematically connected wheel pairs, with wheels of the same diameter, various degrees of their slippage are provided by means of a variator, after which friction coefficient is calculated by formula
where Fr is the reaction force on the housing of the balance-swinging variator, (N), lr is the distance from the axis of rotation of the balance-swinging variator to the point of application of the reaction force to the force-measuring sensor, (m), i is gear ratio of variator, ig is undercar generator drive gear ratio; RW is the wheel radius along the wheel pair rolling circle, (m), η is overall efficiency of generator drive reduction gear, cardan gears and gearbox, GLW2 is weight per rails from less loaded wheel pair, (N). Invention also relates to a trolley which implements said method.
EFFECT: possibility of determining values of adhesion coefficients of railway wheels with rails during braking of rolling stock with partial slippage of wheels and in traction mode with partial slippage of wheels at different loads on the wheel during movement both on straight and curved sections with different speeds and taking into account the effect of various factors on the wheel.
