FIELD: mechanical testing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for mechanical testing of materials of a tribological nature, as well as to the control and evaluation of dynamic parameters that occur during the operation of railway rolling stock during braking processes. The stand contains a mechanism for creating friction between two elements located one above the other, a wheel pair rotation unit, a brake pad pressing unit and a contact zone cooling unit using a blowing system. The lower element is driven by a motor and the upper element is pressed against the lower element. The wheel pair rotation unit contains an asynchronous drive, which, through an electric motor clutch connected to the gearbox, interacts with a multi-speed gearbox and drives the wheel pair mounted on the racks. The brake pad pressing unit is configured to actuate the shoes with brake pads mounted on the levers under the action of the weight of a variable load, through a system of blocks mounted on the rack, thereby implementing an adjustable brake pressure. The cooling unit of the contact zone with the help of a blowing system is configured for controlling the parameters by electrical and heat measuring devices, during which they are automatically removed and controlled by means of a fixation and control unit.

EFFECT: possibility of a comprehensive assessment of the friction coefficient of a tribological pair, which will make it possible to exclude the possibility of obtaining outliers in the course of determining the friction coefficient relative to various points of contact of the surface, and to monitor the general nature of the change in the friction coefficient over the entire contact surface, taking into account many external and internal factors, influencing the process.
