SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to paediatrics, infectology, cardiology. Electrocardiographic values are assessed on the basis of ECG. If observing breath-holding with underlying pertussis, 24-hour cardiorespiratory monitoring is performed, and if observing arrhythmias, they are compared with episodes of breath-holding. Differential diagnosis is performed depending on the pathogenesis of arrhythmias: in case of critical bradycardia, asystole dependence on breath holding at heart rate less than 60 beats per minute, pathological reflex bradycardia, asystole are diagnosed. In case of non-critical bradycardia with underlying breath holding – heart rate of more than 60 beats per minute – vagus-dependent bradycardia. If there is no connection between arrhythmias and breath holding, their reflex vagus-dependent nature is excluded.

EFFECT: method enables detecting and performing differential diagnostics of cardiac rhythm disturbances in children to determine the therapeutic approach and follow-up of the given patient by a cardiologist.
