FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method of extracting copper from oxidised ores involves leaching copper with an acid solution to obtain a productive solution, extracting copper from the productive solution with separation of the enriched product, regenerating the depleted solution and reusing it for leaching. Leaching of copper is carried out with a solution of sulphamic acid. To extract copper, lime is added to the productive solution, wherein an enriched product is obtained in the form of a copper hydroxide precipitate, from which metallic copper is obtained. Sulphuric acid is added to the depleted solution, calcium sulphate precipitate is separated, and the obtained solution is returned for reuse.
EFFECT: high rate of copper leaching from oxidised ore and use of more environmentally safe and regenerable reagent.
