FIELD: pipelines; measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of technical diagnostics of the state of pipelines. Method involves determining the maximum distance between the acoustic radiator and the acoustic emission sensor based on the test results of a reference section of a pipeline with length of 300 m. Then, power and multichannel signal cables are laid along the pipeline, and tightness of the pipeline is checked. Emitters and acoustic emission sensors are mounted on the pipeline at a distance determined by tests and connected to said cables. At the first monitoring stage, a reference value of the parameter Pn is obtained and recorded in the protocol. Current parameters P2knij of operating characteristics of the controlled section of the pipeline (kn) are automatically compared by means of software with the corresponding values of reference parameters Pn/P2knij. Obtained results are recorded in the acoustic emission protocol, which are further processed in the dispatch service according to a special instruction containing hazard classes assigned to values of parametric discrepancies Pn/P2knij, depending on which a corresponding decision on the operation of the pipeline is made.
EFFECT: invention is intended for early detection of points of developing defects, rapid detection of leaks of pumped medium, unauthorized tie-ins into pipelines.
