SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a controlled-release pharmaceutical composition in the form of a monolithic matrix tablet for oral administration twice a day, containing rebamipide as an active substance, a combination of a water-soluble saccharide and hypromellose as a release rate regulator, and a method for production thereof. Controlled-release pharmaceutical composition according to the present invention can be easily prepared by a commonly used method of making tablets and thus can be easily applied at production sites.
EFFECT: controlled-release pharmaceutical composition according to the present invention can be formulated with a size suitable for taking even by elderly patients, which enables to improve compliance with the regimen.
