FIELD: cosmonautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to spacecraft (SC) motion control by means of electrojet engines (EJE). Propulsion subsystem comprises correction units based on high-voltage plasma engines, a high-pressure tank, a working medium supply unit, a conversion and control system, electrostatic discharge filters, discharge filters and switches. Propulsion subsystem implements the mode of additional placement of the spacecraft into the geostationary orbit (GSO) with increased engine thrust and the orbit correction mode with the highest value of the specific impulse of the engine, specified modes are provided by one and the same set of equipment of propulsion subsystem due to change of voltage and current of discharge of motors, formed by system of conversion and control, at the same consumed power.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to solve the task of increasing the thrust in the mode of spacecraft additional placement to GSO, reducing the additional placement time and providing high efficiency in the mode of orbit correction during the service life of the spacecraft with simultaneous elimination of non-productive expenditures of the mass of the propulsion subsystem due to the use of a single set of equipment.
