FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to development of a UV filter composition with high sun protection and antioxidant properties. UV filter based on cerium dioxide doped with rare-earth elements includes an aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol, ammonium nitrate, ammonia and cerium dioxide, and additionally contains cerium dioxide with ions of rare-earth elements from the group La, Sm, Gd, Er, Yb.
EFFECT: development of UV filter composition, which allows to increase values of sun-protection parameters to values comparable to values λc and UVA/UVB, inherent in zinc oxide.
