FIELD: separation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biological air cleaning from toxic, mainly ammonia, and foul-smelling substances and can be used for cleaning gas and ventilation emissions of agricultural enterprises. A modular biofilter with a system of replaceable filtering elements comprises a rectangular case of composite modules rigidly fixed to each other with sealing, and consists of at least one lower module, one filtering module and one upper module installed one above the other. Lower module is installed on supports, its bottom is made at an acute angle α to the horizontal plane. On one of the sides of the filtering module there is a door, inside on its side surfaces there are rigidly fixed roller guides with possibility of extension, on which a replaceable filtering element is located. Modular biofilter comprises a denitrification tank with a partition and an air supply pipe.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of air cleaning and possibility to use various filtering materials with simplification of their replacement.
