FIELD: measuring.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and relates to a method for assessing colour stability of textile material to light-weather factors. When implementing the method, eight-step burning of the reference colour is ensured by exposure in the open air with simultaneous measurement of the total solar radiation energy supplied to the zone of each section of the reference standards. At the end of the exposure, the colour lightness dynamics of the reference standards is measured; an actinometric scale is plotted on a transparent plate in the form of graphs of dependence of the colour darkening coefficients on the total solar radiation and a digital inter-point scale is plotted on it from one point to eight. Colour stability of the tested samples is evaluated by superimposing a transparent actinometric scale on the graphs of the dependence of the colour darkening coefficients on the total solar radiation of the analysed samples and reading the values of the intersection points of the dependence of the colour darkening coefficient with the inter-point digital scale to obtain an answer in points.

EFFECT: high accuracy and reliability of assessing colour stability of textile material to light-weather factors.
