FIELD: meteorology.
SUBSTANCE: used to determine the score of cumulus. Using an unshaded pyranometer, the total solar radiation is measured. Using a sliding window, a series of measured values of total solar radiation is analyzed. Determine inside the sliding window the total time during which the solar disk was covered by cumulus clouds. The cloudiness score is calculated as the ratio of a certain time of closing the solar disk by cumulus clouds to the total time of the window to be analyzed.
EFFECT: increased reliability of determining the cumulus score.
