SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fibre-optic continuous laser radiation generators. Optical fibre structure for pumping laser comprises cladding, active fibre doped with ytterbium ions, with possibility of generation of radiation in range of 1000-1028 nm, according to invention comprises active fibre with side pumping, consisting of an active fibre doped with ytterbium ions with a variable diameter and a passive fibre with a variable diameter, fibre Bragg gratings, fibre combiners, wavelength-stabilized pumping laser diodes, wherein doping of active fibre core with ytterbium ions makes 50-90 % of core diameter with concentration in range of 200-500 ppm.

EFFECT: elimination of waveguide modes of higher orders, optimization of temperature mode of laser operation and increase of threshold of mode instability effect.
