FIELD: fibre-optic radiation sources.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fibre-optic radiation sources and relates to a superluminescent fibre optic radiation source. Superluminescent fibre source of optical radiation includes a pumping laser diode, a spectrally selective coupler, an erbium-doped optical fibre based on quartz glass, a chirped fibre Bragg grating, an optical isolator and an optical plug located after the Bragg grating and the optical isolator at the output of the optical isolator. Erbium fibre is doped with aluminium, germanium and/or phosphorus oxides, as well as with cerium and/or lanthanum. Bragg grating combines the functions of a reflector, a spectral filter and an element which introduces dispersion, and is optimized to generate output optical radiation in 1,530 nm region with a broadened spectrum and smoothing radiation in the long-wave region.
EFFECT: providing high radiation resistance and protection against spontaneous transition to the laser generation process, reducing power consumption and simplifying the design.
