FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical physics and can be used in laser optics. Method of forming a scalable square light beam consists in the fact that a diverging beam of light is supplied from a laser radiation source through a waveguide to the input of an optical generator. Further, the light beam is supplied to an optical generator. Light beam is subjected to transformation of its intensity in the cross section of the initial light beam by passing through pairs of optical Fresnel biprisms. Summary homogeneous image of the light beam intensity profile is formed by superimposing two halves of the initial light beam with a width equal to the radius of the initial beam. Further, a uniform distribution of radiation intensity is obtained in a projection of the beam image on a flat screen for controlling the image in space. Square light spot profile of 10 to 100 mm is obtained on the treated surface.
EFFECT: obtaining a scalable square light beam.
