FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, namely to a spray device for spraying a pharmaceutical powder and a method for use thereof. Device (1) comprises (a) connecting device (100) for container of pharmaceutical powder, made with possibility of attachment of container for pharmaceutical powder. Device includes (b) housing (200) containing first transfer tube (201) configured to communicate with connection device (100) for container of pharmaceutical powder, and second transfer tube (202) configured to communicate with first transfer tube (201). Ends of second transfer tube (202) are connected to catheter attachment section (203) and air inlet (204), device includes (c) control valve (300) located in the middle of first transfer tube (201) of housing (200) for flow control pharmaceutical powder. Device has (d) tube cap (400) attached to catheter attachment section (203) of the housing and having a hole diameter in the far part relative to housing (200), which is greater than the diameter of the hole in the near part relative to housing (200). Control valve (300) is a ball valve or disk rotary valve containing a flow channel made in the valve. First transfer tube (201) comprises upper channel (201b) configured to supply airflow upwards and lower channel (201a) configured to supply airflow downwards. Second transfer tube (202) comprises inlet channel (202b) configured to feed air into housing (200), and outlet channel (202a) configured to discharge air from housing (200). Inlet channel (202b) of the second transfer tube is configured to communicate with upper channel (201b) of the first transfer tube, and outlet channel (202a) of the second transfer tube is configured to communicate with lower channel (201a) of the first transfer tube. Control valve (300) comprises upper channel (302) configured to supply air flow upwards, and lower channel (301) configured to supply air flow downwards. Control valve (300) comprises recess (303) to prevent air supply blocking, which is recessed into side surface of control valve in direction of control valve rotation to maintain air circulation path when control valve (300) is switched from open position to closed position. Method of use includes (i) connection of air blower (2) with hole (204) for air inlet into sprayer (1). Method of use involves (ii) connection of cap (400) of tube and catheter with section (203) of catheter attachment. Method of use includes (iii) connection of container containing pharmaceutical powder, with connecting device (100) for container of pharmaceutical powder. Method of use involves (iv) switching on the powder supply by air blower (2) and (v) controlling the opening/closing position of control valve (300) and spraying the pharmaceutical powder. Order of operations (i)-(iii) is arbitrary.
EFFECT: prevention of catheter bending, elimination of formation of fine sprayed powder jet and elimination of powder leakage during spraying.
