SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to milking equipment. Teat cup insert for use in a milking machine shell comprises a resiliently deformable sleeve extending between the tip at the distal end and the outlet tube at the proximal end, wherein said sleeve forms a cavity for receiving a nipple of an animal to be milked. In this case, the sleeve comprises a first portion having a plurality of ribs, wherein the ribs extend longitudinally and transversely outward from the first portion, wherein the longitudinal length of each rib ends at the proximal end of the first part, the transverse length of each rib ends with a flange for engagement with the shell. Sleeve comprises a second portion located between a proximal end of the first portion and an outlet tube, wherein second and first parts are made with possibility of sequential compression inside, and wherein each of the first and second parts is made with possibility of gradual inward compression. Gradual inward compression is directed to the distal end of the cartridge when there is a pressure drop of 10 to 60 kPa on the wall of the cartridge, causing a peristaltic massage of the nipple, wherein the peristaltic massage is directed upwards along the nipple.

EFFECT: higher efficiency and speed of milking and reduced stress for animal.
