FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic inductor coupling comprises a stator with a fixed twisted core, an excitation winding, a driving inductor and a driven armature. Driving inductor and the driven armature adjoin each other and to the opposite ends of the twisted core through working axial gaps. Coiled core is made of magnetically soft electroconductive steel tape coated with electrically insulating varnish, and is an excitation winding, the ends of the tape are connected to a direct current source, so that the direction of the current in the tape coincides with the direction of rotation of the inductor, and the inductor and the armature are fixed on a common centre by means of radial thrust bearings. Inner cavity of the bearing assembly is separated from the working axial gap by an O-ring, and the flanges of the motor and the reduction gear are attached to the inductor and the armature, respectively.
EFFECT: reduced weight and overall dimensions of inductor couplings.
