SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of noise immunity of self-guided systems to an optical radiation source. Method of protecting an optical-electronic coordinator (OEC) from laser radiation (LR) is based on receiving optical radiation of an OEC object, which includes the main and additional photodetectors (PD). Additional photodetector (APD) is of a ring type with its ring centre located on the optical axis and as close as possible to the focal plane of the OEC and with the orientation of the field of view of each of its photosensitive elements to the centre of the APD. And also limiting the incident optical flow on the PSE of the APD by preliminary installation of the blind in the plane of the annular matrix of the PSE of the APD in the form of two circular rings with an inner radius of RIN<ROUT-RL-RM and the distance between each other not less than the size of the APD PSE, where ROUT=R is the outer radius of the circular ring of the blind, RL is the radius of the laser beam at the centre of the APD, RM is the radius of movement of the laser beam relative to the centre of the APD, characterized by the angular sector of the main PD.
