FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of gear wheels, in particular, to machines for cutting gear wheels and toothed sectors with straight and skew tooth with internal and external gearing. Gear cutting machine comprises a positioning module comprising a bed, at least two support rollers, two support rollers and two auxiliary beams; processing module comprising a unit for horizontal, vertical and inclined movement of the tool spindle with a cutting tool, placed on the bed; movement module comprising a mechanism for moving the workpiece along the support rollers using the clamping fixtures; displacement control module. Positioning module is configured to place the workpiece vertically. Support rollers are made with possibility of horizontal movement. Auxiliary beam is arranged between support roller and support roller.
EFFECT: high accuracy of moving the workpiece at its vertical arrangement, excluding large errors in steps between depressions and accumulated error in steps.
