FIELD: performing operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of cermet materials and can be used in production of parts from them. Grinding method includes calculating the tool transverse feed rate and the duration of the cutting step thereof, which provides a given penetration of diamond grains of the tool into the machined surface of the part to a depth equal to one third of the average size of the ceramic grain of the current-conducting ceramics, installation of a part on a machine, connection to the part of the positive pole of the pulsed process current source, the connection to the tool of the negative pole of the pulsed process current source, supply of electrolyte to interelectrode gap, setting the process current voltage and removing the allowance from the processed surface of the part by creating in the cut layer of controlled discontinuities in the form of microdepressions formed by electrochemical etching of the current-conducting binder of the part, and measurement of cutting power with variable frequency.
EFFECT: increasing grinding productivity by reducing the drive power of the grinding tool.
