FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemistry of copper compounds, specifically to a method of producing basic copper (II) acetate of the new formula Cu2(OH)2(CH3COO)2. Method involves reacting copper (II) acetate monohydrate with sodium bicarbonate in a limited volume of deionised water in a molar ratio of reagents to water of 1:1.2:11, grinding of the obtained solid mass, followed by double decantation with deionised water at a ratio of components of 1:6 by weight, filtration and drying of the obtained product at 35-40 °C for 24 hours.
EFFECT: basic copper acetate obtained using the proposed method can be used in the chemical industry in the production of high-quality art paints and in the pharmaceutical industry for the production of drugs that promote skin healing after thermal, chemical and radiation burns, as well as for the treatment of wounds, cuts, frostbites and other skin lesions with a simultaneous analgesic effect.
