FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemistry of polyhedral borohydride compounds and urea, namely to hydrates of dodecahydro-closo-dodecaborates of copper and zinc complex cations with urea composed as [Cu(Ur)4]B12H12⋅2H2O and [Zn(Ur)6]B12H12⋅2H2O. The compounds can be used as precursors for the synthesis of graphite-like C-N-H-containing compounds, including carbon nitride g-C3N4, doped with boron, copper or zinc nanoparticles, or oxides of these metals. The proposed dihydrates of dodecahydro-closo-dodecaborate complexes of transition-metal cations with urea composed as [M(Ur)n]B12H12⋅2H2O, where M = Cu and n = 4; М = Zn and n = 6. A method for preparing dihydrates of dodecahydro-closo-dodecaborate complexes of transition-metal cations with urea composed as [M(Ur)n]B12H12⋅2H2O.
EFFECT: proposed method allows to create new dihydrates of dodecahydro-closo-dodecaborates with transition metals with urea composed as [M(Ur)n]B12H12⋅2H2O (M = Cu, n = 4; M = Zn, n = 6), to establish optimal synthesis conditions, and also to safely and easily obtain these compounds with a high yield of the target product.
