METHOD OF FORMING CURRENT-VOLTAGE CHARACTERISTIC OF SOLAR BATTERY SIMULATOR Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC G05F1/62

Abstract RU 2835486 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering and can be used in the development of equipment for testing of devices which convert electric energy of solar batteries, in particular, those that are part of on-board power supply systems of spacecrafts. Method of solar battery simulator current-voltage characteristic formation, based on piecewise-linear approximation, which includes a section of the installed fixed load current and a voltage section conjugated with it, formed by summation of the installed fixed voltage with an additional voltage and characterized by a decreasing linear dependence of the load current on the voltage on it, at that, formation of additional voltage is carried out due to branching of part of fixed current and its linear proportional conversion to voltage, and voltage across the load at the point of conjugation of the fixed current section and the voltage section is selected not less than half of the open circuit voltage.

EFFECT: providing the possibility of forming piecewise linear current-voltage characteristics, approaching the current-voltage characteristics of real solar batteries in various operating conditions, increasing completeness and reliability of tests of the converting part of the power supply system, using a solar battery as a primary source, including, when equipping said converting part with an extreme regulator of output power of the solar battery, as well as avoiding deterioration of dynamic characteristics due to switching modes of circuit elements.
