FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power plant based on hydrogen fuel cell with operational safety system. Proposed plant comprises housing accommodating hydrogen storage unit, fuel line, fuel cell and control unit. Operational safety system comprises a pressure regulator, a pressure sensor, a temperature sensor, a hydrogen concentration sensor, which transmit information to the control unit, as well as a protective electromagnetic valve and a shut-off valve. Housing is a fireproof metal cabinet divided into compartments by partitions from thick-sheet steel with built-in fire-prevention panels from insulating material, with protective grounding. In addition, the operational safety system further comprises a self-contained fire extinguishing device, fire-prevention ventilation grate on the housing of the power plant, a fire-prevention valve located at the inlet of the fuel line and a gas flow regulator installed at the outlet of the fuel line, which transmits information to the control unit. Control unit has the possibility of supplying a signal to the protective solenoid valve, which stops the supply of hydrogen, which leads to the disconnection of the fuel element.
EFFECT: higher safety of operation of power plant based on hydrogen fuel cells.
