SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication technology and, more specifically, to a method and device for communication via direct connection. Method of direct connection communication performed by the first terminal involves determination that the first terminal performs direct connection communication with a destination address according to the direct connection, and deciding whether to ignore the direct connection discontinuous reception (DRX) restriction. After making a decision not to apply DRX limitation of direct connection, indication information is transmitted to the base station. Indication information indicates to the base station not to apply the DRX mode restriction of the direct connection for data transmission to the destination address.
EFFECT: elimination of unnecessary delay of access to data caused by DRX mode of direct connection, as well as elimination of data loss caused by mismatch of use of DRX mode of direct connection between transmitter and receiver.
