FIELD: measuring.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for inspection of a vehicle using a ferroprobe. Instrumental control of the electromagnetic environment in the inspected area of the vehicle is carried out using one or more ferroprobes associated with the data processing unit, wherein the vehicle make and model are additionally determined, analysing the relative location in the inspected area of the places where the change in the magnetic field is recorded, and the places where, according to the data available before the inspection, the presence of the vehicle's own magnetic field sources can be expected, in case of coincidence of place of actuation of ferroprobes and place of location of own sources of magnetic field of vehicle, decision is made that actuation of ferroprobes was false.

EFFECT: enabling exclusion of data obtained due to false actuations of control equipment from inspection results of a vehicle.
