FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Treatment of uveal melanoma is carried out by means of transscleral photodynamic therapy, during which a chlorine photosensitizer is injected intravenously drop-by-drop to patient 3 hours before the operation, followed by a transscleral laser irradiation of a tumour under conditions of short-term general anaesthesia using a laser apparatus with wavelength of 662 nm. Before the conducted treatment, according to the obtained clinical and instrumental data on the localization and diameter of the tumour base, a transscleral probe tip of the corresponding diameter is placed on a laser light guide, wherein with pre-equatorial localization of the tumour and the base diameter, a transscleral probe tip is used, the diameter of which on the side intended for conjugation with the eye is in the corresponding range, and irradiation is carried out with corresponding laser power and corresponding exposure time. In a particular case, with pre-equatorial localization of the tumour and the corresponding base diameter, a transscleral probe tip is used with the corresponding diameter on the side intended for conjugation with the eye, and the irradiation is carried out with the corresponding laser power and the corresponding exposure time. In special case "Photoran" or "Photolon" is used as photosensitizer. At that, treatment of uveal melanoma is carried out by means of a set of transscleral probes-tips, which includes six probes, in which the side intended for conjugation with the patient's eye is made round, wherein the diameter of the probe tip on the side intended for conjugation with the eye is in the appropriate range. In a particular case, the inner surface of the probes-tips is made stepped, and each probe-tip is equipped with an element which enables to identify it when connected to a laser. A radiofrequency label is used as an element which enables to identify the probe tip when connected to a laser. In a particular case, each probe tip on the side intended for conjugation with the patient's eye is equipped with a glass.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides effective and selective organ-preserving treatment of patients with uveal melanoma by means of transscleral photodynamic therapy and reduces risk of postoperative complications.
