FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydrometallurgy of tantalum and can be used for its extraction from fluoride solutions of processing of mineral, technogenic and secondary raw materials. Method involves sorption of tantalum with an impregnate containing an extractant, its washing and tantalum desorption. Extractant used is octanol-1 in the range of its concentration in impregnate of 20-70 wt.%, and desorption is carried out with an ammonium fluoride solution with concentration of 20-100 g/l.
EFFECT: increased degree of sorption and desorption of tantalum, reduced consumption of sorbent, increased concentration of tantalum in commercial eluate, reduced losses of extractant during operation.
