METHOD OF PRODUCING MICROFIBRE CARRIER FOR CATALYSTS Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC B01J32/00 B01J37/02 B01J37/08 B01J21/08 B01J21/18

Abstract RU 2836162 C1

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalytic processes with high thermal effects and high sensitivity to temperature changes, such as the Fischer-Tropsch process. Disclosed isa method of producing a multilayer composite carrier for catalysts with a high specific surface area based on glass or mineral microfibres with diameter of 1 to 30 mcm, which contain a layer of porous silicon dioxide on the surface of the microfibres, obtained by impregnating the microfibres with a silicon-containing colloid and subsequent heat treatment, on outer surface of which there is an additional layer of activated carbon obtained by pyrolysis of hydrocarbons on a catalyst for pyrolysis of hydrocarbons, deposited on a layer of porous silicon dioxide. Hydrocarbon pyrolysis catalyst is synthesized by adding a precursor capable of forming an active component of a hydrocarbon pyrolysis catalyst during thermal treatment with simultaneous release of gaseous products directly into the composition of the silicon-containing colloid, which is silica sol or mixtures based on it, before impregnating the microfibres at the stage of forming a layer of porous silicon dioxide. In the composition of the precursor for synthesis of a hydrocarbon pyrolysis catalyst, salts of transition metals from the series: carbonates, hydrocarbonates, acetates, oxalates, nitrates, sulphites are used. Active component used is one or more transition metals: nickel, iron or cobalt in metal form or in form of compounds.

EFFECT: disclosed method enables to significantly simplify production of multilayer composite supports for catalysts with high specific surface area.
