SUBSTANCE: invention relates to new methods for synthesizing catalysts that can be used, in particular, for deep oxidation (afterburning) of CO, organic and halogen-organic compounds, oxidation of hydrogen sulfide and sulfur dioxide, reduction of nitrogen oxides, and for many other catalytic reactions. The invention can also be used in processes of producing valuable chemical products and semi-products, as well as when processing different gaseous and liquid wastes. A method of producing a microfibrous catalyst in the form of structured webs of filaments spun from carrier microfibres with an active component applied is provided, comprising the steps of pretreating the filaments, fabricating woven or braided webs of filaments, impregnating the precursors of the active components, drying them, and heat treating them. The production of the catalyst is carried out in two stages, with the preliminary treatment of the filaments, the impregnation of the filaments with the precursors of the active components, drying and heat treatment, in the first stage, and the production of structured webs from the obtained filaments in the second stage.

EFFECT: high uniform distribution of the active component over the surface of the catalyst.
