FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: microfibrous carrier for catalysts based on glass or mineral microfibers with a diameter of 1 to 30 microns is described. The carrier contains a layer of porous silicon dioxide on the surface of the microfibers, on the outer surface of which there is an additional layer of activated carbon. The invention also relates to a process of its preparation.
EFFECT: increase in its specific surface area.
