FIELD: transmission of digital information.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrooptical means of telecommunication equipment and can be used in constructing quantum key distribution networks (QKD) with an untrusted central node (UCN) of the "star" type. In the first version, the "star" type UCN QKD network circuit contains UCN and 2N transmitting units (TU) connected by quantum channels, which send quantum signals to the UCN, which are single photons or weak coherent states, wherein the circuit allows the use of passive optical switches 1×N and contains N optical switches 2×2, where N is a natural number, each of which is connected to two TU, and two switches 1×N, which connect switches 2×2 with UCN. In the second version, the QKD network circuit with the "star" type UCN contains the UCN and N transmitting units (TU) connected by a quantum channel, which send to the UCN quantum signals, which are single photons or weak coherent states, wherein the circuit contains N optical switches 1×2, each of which is connected to the corresponding TU, and two optical switches 1×N connecting switches 1×2 with UCN, where N is a natural number.

EFFECT: simplification of the optical circuit of the network.
